Our Latest Yard Project

So My sweet parents took Dominick over the weekend so that Steve and I could get this latest project done. So we put in Raseberry, Blackberry, and Strawberry boxes. And got them transplanted just before we got the two and a half straight days of rain.

Dominicks Easter

So we threw a couple of candy filled eggs around the living room. He also got to hunt for eggs at Grandma and Grandpa Rieths and Grandma and Grandpa Stewarts. He had such a blast.

Wheres the rest of the candy?

The sad Easter basket that I painted for him.

Learning to use the Potty

So Steve took Dom to Walmart and decided that it was probably time to start getting him potty trained so he let Dom pick out his potty. And is actually doing really well with it. Of course he can't vocalize that he needs to go so when he does he just starts pulling off him pants and undoing his diaper so then we rush him into the bathroom. He just thinks that he is something awesome to be a big boy.

Painting the Garage

So Dominick and I were enjoying the wonderful weather. I turned my back for a moment and he ended up spilling my Pepsi all over the garage floor. I ended up cleaning out the garage which was needed badly. Steve and I had talked about painting the garage white because we were getting sick of the dark chocolate brown that it already was so I grabbed the paint and started painting well Dom thought it looked fun and decided that he wanted to help so he grabbed a roller started rolling it in a puddle that was still drying on the garage floor and then started rolling the walls it was a fun day for all of us.

Dominicks accidents

Dominick went chasing after a ball and lost his balance while running for it and fell into the corner of the coach. My poor baby.
So Dominick had his first set of stitches. He had three in all. We went into his room to put away his clothes and so my back was to him and he managed to get up on his toy box that is sitting at the foot of his bed. Well he got goofing around on top of it and fell between his bed and his toy box and hit mouth on the corner and his teeth went through his lip and out the front. So I instantly dropped everything picked him up and blood just starting gushing every where. So I was covered in blood and trying my hardest to put pressure on his mouth to get it to stop and he started fighting me. So I hurried and called Steve to get him home for help. He was home with in 10 minutes of my call. However on my end it seemed like an eternity. I was trying so hard to stay calm for him but the second Steve pulled into the driveway I started to break down and balled. I don't think I have ever felt so helpless in all my life.
So we loaded Dom into the care and rushed him off to Community Care. They got him in fairly quickly. They wrapped him into a papose and the doctor started to stitch him up. But, as the docotor was stitching he started to bleed again and he started spraying us all with blood. I am pretty sure that it won't be the last time he gets stitches but hopefully he will be several years older before Dom has to get more.

We got him home and he fell asleep really quickly. When he woke up his lips looked like a duck.

This is what the stitches looked like. Thank heavens they were the dessolvable ones so we won't have to take him back in to get them removed.
